Tempo Mental Map

Tempo Mental Rap is a  composition for solo guitar that consists of a series of 6 variations based upon a rap (spoken phrases) performed by Frank Zappa that was transcribed by the guitarist Steve Vai.

Although finished in 2007 and awarded with the Kompositionspreis der Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart in 2007, it got its first complete performance in 2024 at the Malmö Academy of Music.
